Sony quietly kills the XBA series in-ear headphones

Introduced at CanJam@RMAF last October, the XBA-Z5 was Sony’s flagship IEM (in-ear monitor). Today, almost one year later. Sony quietly removed this model from their U.S. SonyStyle online store. A search using the search feature yield no results. In fact, all of the XBA series IEMs are gone from Sony’s U.S. site. We visited B&H photo/video (an authorized Sony reseller) and found the XBA-Z5 labeled as “discontinued”. It is surprising to see this flagship model killed in such a short time. We like the XBA-Z5 a lot and our fingers are crossed that what ever Sony will replace it with that it’ll be an upgrade. Stay subscribed while we do more digging...

Update: The following accessories for Sony XBA Series are also gone from the U.S. SonyStyle online store.
